Alex Rider, M.D.

Dr. Alex Rider specializes in cataract, cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery, as well as advanced lens technology to correct astigmatism and presbyopia with cataract surgery. He also has experience performing cornea transplantation surgery, including DSEK/ DMEK, and ocular surface reconstruction.

After graduating with honors with a B.S in Sports Medicine from Union University in Jackson, TN he completed his M.D. degree at University of Tennessee Health Center in Memphis, TN. Following medical school, he completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He went on to complete subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC.
