Will Whitmire, M.D.

Dr. Will Whitmire is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Southeast Eye Specialists, serving patients in Soddy Daisy and Dayton, Tennessee. He provides comprehensive medical eye care with a focus on diagnosing and treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.

With more than 15 years of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Whitmire delivers thorough evaluations and personalized treatment plans to help patients maintain long-term eye health and clear vision. His clinical approach emphasizes early detection, effective disease management, and patient education.

Dr. Whitmire grew up in the Chattanooga area and attended McCallie School. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, completed his internship at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, and went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Texas A&M College of Medicine.

At Southeast Eye Specialists, Dr. Whitmire works as a consultative ophthalmologist, collaborating with other providers to deliver coordinated, high-quality care across a range of eye conditions. He is committed to helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options while achieving the best possible outcomes.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Whitmire enjoys hiking, jogging, and spending time with family. He is actively involved in his local community and participates in both local and international mission work.
