Pedro Monsalve, M.D.

Dr. Pedro Monsalve is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained medical and surgical retina specialist at Southeast Eye Specialists, serving patients in Chattanooga and Cleveland, Tennessee. He specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, macular holes, and other complex retinal conditions.

At Southeast Eye Specialists, Dr. Monsalve is known for delivering advanced, patient-focused care using the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies. His approach combines clinical expertise with a commitment to helping patients understand their eye health and treatment options.

Dr. Monsalve completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and pursued advanced fellowship training in surgical retina at the University of Minnesota. He also conducted research in electrophysiology and ocular pathology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, one of the nation’s leading eye care institutions.
