Pedro Monsalve, M.D.

Dr. Pedro Monsalve is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist with expertise in medical and surgical diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a surgical retina fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Before residency, Dr. Monsalve conducted research in electrophysiology and ocular pathology at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He now specializes in advanced treatments for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and macular holes, using the latest surgical techniques and innovative therapies.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Dr. Monsalve is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys travel, fitness, and exploring the beauty of the Southwest.
