Dr. Alex Rider is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Southeast Eye Specialists, specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He serves patients across Clarksville, Nashville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Dr. Rider provides advanced surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions, with expertise in cataract surgery, corneal disease, and vision correction procedures. He utilizes advanced intraocular lens (IOL) technology to correct astigmatism and presbyopia during cataract surgery, helping patients achieve improved visual outcomes.
In addition to cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Rider has extensive experience in corneal transplantation procedures, including DSEK and DMEK, as well as ocular surface reconstruction for complex corneal conditions.
Dr. Rider earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Union University before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville, followed by fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the prestigious Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina.
